Privacy policy of AWT for association members)

1) When a member joins, the association collects data about the member. Among other things, this involves the following data: Name, title, address data, e-mail address, company address, date of birth, bank details and other data serving the purpose of the association and the association administration. These data are stored in an EDP system in the AWT office. The personal data are protected by suitable technical and organizational measures against the knowledge of third parties. The employees of the AWT office who are permanently involved in the handling of this data are contractually obligated to handle this data confidentially.

(2) By joining, the member agrees that the personal data required in connection with the membership administration will be collected, processed and used for the association, taking into account the requirements of the Data Protection Regulation (DS-GVO). Without this consent, membership cannot be established.
(3) The personal data provided by members and non-members will be used exclusively for the implementation of the association's statutory objectives. This includes invitations to committee meetings and hardening circle evenings, information about further education seminars and about the hardening congress, as well as the publication of the name of company and individual members in the AWT-Info. Other information on members and information on non-members shall in principle only be processed or used by the Association if it is useful for promoting the purpose of the Association and if there are no indications that persons concerned have an interest worthy of protection which opposes the processing or use.

(5) The AWT announces special events of the association's life, especially honors as well as celebrations in the AWT-Info and on the AWT website. In doing so, personal member data may be published. The individual member may object to such publication at any time vis-à-vis the board or the AWT office. In the event of an objection, no further publication will be made with regard to the objecting member. (7) In case of resignation, exclusion or death of the member, the personal data of the member will be archived. Personal data of the resigning member, concerning the cash administration, will be kept for up to ten years from the written confirmation of the resignation by the AWT office, in accordance with the provisions of tax law.
