Relationships between production, degree of purity and component properties. Measurement and evaluation methods of the macroscopic and microscopic degree of purity - Test standards
From the perspective of producers and users, component failure represents undesirable and cost-intensive damage, e.g. in engines or gearboxes. The necessary replacement of the affected components can result in high damage sums and damage to the company's image. In addition to the occurrence of overloads, the type and quantity of non-metallic inclusions present in the material are also factors influencing damage. The effects of non-metallic inclusions can be better controlled and the quality of the end product improved by selecting the right material and manufacturing process.
The aim of this online seminar is to explain the relationships between manufacturing, purity level and component properties and to familiarize participants with the measurement and evaluation methods for macroscopic and microscopic purity levels using test standards (SEP 1927, SEP 1571, DIN 50602, ASTM and ISO) and extreme evaluation methods.
The seminar is expected to take place in May 2025.
