What do the AWT technical committees do?
Technical committees promote networking and the personal development of their members and offer a decisive knowledge advantage for innovation in professional practice.
Among other things, the technical committees publish their own work instructions, practical tips and information on standardization regulations. They also design seminars and pass on their expertise to specialists in the industry.
The management teams of the individual specialist committees meet once a year for an intensive exchange of experiences in order to discuss important challenges facing the industry and gain new insights.
The next Technical Committee Leaders Workshop is scheduled for March 8-9, 2022 in an online format.
The members of the Technical Committees are company representatives and personal AWT members. They initiate and accompany AWT's research projects, which are carried out at the Leibniz-Institute for Materials Engineering - IWT, Bremen, AWT's own research institute. An average of 9 research projects are launched each year in this way, which identify innovative potential in the fields of heat treatment and materials engineering and translate solutions into industrial practice.
